
Wired.com reports that China is banning YouTube because of videos that are surfacing of the Tibet riots. I guess the Chinese government just can't handle the truth.
And with the censorship of news coming out of China and Tibet, will we ever know what happens at midnight tonight? China has announced that rioters have until midnight to turn themselves in. But then what?
Economist writer, James Miles writes:
The worry now is about tonight’s deadline. Will this be followed by knocks on doors and sweeping, indiscriminate arrests? Many Tibetans keep pictures of the Dalai Lama in their homes. I imagine now that they are busy secreting them.
This is the year 2008?
