My buddy, David, says that he likes the frequency of my posting.....or should I say "liked"? I've not been posting much lately. It's a combination of doing a lot of other things, boring news and media, and being kind of busy. It's all good. I suppose that blogging isn't really that important.
A lot of my time has been spent with my guitars for the last couple of weeks. I've been learning and practicing a bunch of new songs in preparation for this weekend.
Speaking of that, I'm pretty stoked about this coming weekend. My sister Sheri is flying into town, and my good friend Rhett is flying down from Washington. We are all getting together this weekend to work our way through learning a bunch of songs from Sheri's upcoming CD, and get ready to go out and lead at a few gatherings here and there. Melisa is going to be playing keys and our awesome friend, Drew (recently married to Abbie!) is going to playing bass! This should be a lot of fun, but a lot of work.
Sheri and the rest of us on her team are so glad to be doing our first event together at my home church, Live Oak Vineyard, this Sunday night. It will be the first time that this group of people will be leading together as one unit, so it's nice to begin in a familiar, safe place with people who are behind us.

I wish Joshua could make the trip. We'll miss you, brother!
And I do hope that a good number of people from the Live Oak Worship team would be willing to come to the worship gathering on Sunday evening to worship with us, and pray for Sheri and the team she has drawn together. I think that it would be great for a group of worshipers to come and pray for her as she is on the verge of an album release and beginning a series of events. I know that she cherishes the prayers and support of her extended Vineyard family all across the country.

Not only is he a smokin' drummer, he's a connoisseur of cheesy crackers!
I'm also excited about Sunday. Rhett is going to be able to sit in on drums on Sunday morning. We spent almost four years playing music together and becoming great friends. I miss that guy a lot, and I'm excited to be able to lead worship with him this week! I just wish he could bring his wife, Molly, because it's been too long since we've all had a chance to get together in one place. Melisa and I will just have to figure out a way to make it up to Washington this summer to see all of our Washingtonian brethren instead.

Rhett and Molly.....this picture is way old, but the best I've got....sorry!
I've got to finish up my set list for Sunday. Does anybody have a song on their heart that they really want to sing to God this weekend? Let me know. The set is hardly carved in stone yet.
